Abstract:

Operation Palace, a fake documentary that deconstructs the official version of February 23rd, presents two essential questions in democracy: what is the meaning of politics and the value of information? Especially since political action, with the assistance of the media, can be a continual joke whose target is the citizen. The official version of the Spanish Transition is thereby jeopardised since the documentary suggests that the story of the coming of democracy and the construction of the inherited society could have been distorted from the beginning.
