          Abstract

          RESUMEN La educación y cómo educamos, siempre son temas actuales. De diversas maneras se ha enfatizado que el conocer y memorizar hechos y datos no son causas suficientes para una formación integral de la persona. Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) ya había combatido contra una concepción educativa basada en la erudición coleccionista, objetiva, desprendida de las emociones, y frente a la cual propuso una especie de pedagogía vitalista: los hechos del pasado, del presente, los datos, las descripciones, deben recogerse y tratarse selectivamente teniendo como meta la construcción, la vivificación del individuo, la búsqueda de la unidad y el sentido de aquello que estudiamos. El presente trabajo se orienta a identificar y explicar las concepciones de la educación y de la cultura a las que se enfrentó Nietzsche y cómo se puede caracterizar la pedagógica que él propone para estudiar el pasado.

          Translated abstract

          ABSTRACT Education and how we educate are always current topics. In various ways it has been emphasized that knowing and memorizing facts and data are not sufficient causes for a comprehensive formation of the person. Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) had already fought against an educational conception based on collecting, objective erudition, detached from emotions, and against which he proposed a kind of vitalist pedagogy: the facts of the past, the present, the data, The descriptions must be collected and treated selectively with the goal of construction, the vivification of the individual, the search for unity and the meaning of what we study. The present work is aimed at identifying and explaining the conceptions of education and culture that Nietzsche faced and how the pedagogy that he proposes to study the past can be characterized.
