Since his arrival to Cuba, in 1962, until his passing away in 1984, the Guatemalan intellectual Manuel Galich had an outstanding presence as a professor in the University of Havana. The present work refers to his imprint on Havana University, in the field of Latin America and Caribbean History. This approach to Galich's intellectual activity is the first debate on Havana University's historiography.
