          Abstract

          Se presenta el estudio de la interrelación de ciertas prácticas rituales con los huertos, la milpa y el monte en X-Mejía, Hopelchén, Campeche. Con el análisis de las percepciones y prácticas rituales relacionadas con los sistemas productivos que hombres y mujeres realizan para preparar platillos, bebidas y dulces ceremoniales. Se muestra que el huerto y la milpa aportan más de 50 % de los ingredientes necesarios para realizar estos platillos, y que son indispensables los espacios físicos y socioculturales de este pueblo maya peninsular.

          Nous présentons l'étude de l'interaction entre certaines pratiques rituelles et les potagers, la milpa et la forêt à X-Mejia, Hopelchén, Campeche. Et cela à partir de l'analyse des perceptions y les pratiques rituelles en relation avec les systèmes productifs que les hommes et les femmes réalisent afin de préparer les plats, les boissons et les desserts cérémoniaux. Nous montrons que le potager et la milpa apportent plus de 50% des ingrédients nécessaires à ces préparations, et que les espaces physiques et socio-culturels de ce village maya péninsulaire sont nécessaires.

          Translated abstract

          This essay presents a study of the interrelation between certain ritual practices and the gardens, cornfields and forests of X-Mejía, Hopelchén, Campeche, based on an analysis of the perceptions and ritual practices related to the productive systems that men and women employ to prepare ceremonial dishes, drinks and sweets. It shows that the garden and cornfield supply over 50% of the ingredients necessary to prepare these dishes, but that the physical and sociocultural spaces of this peninsular Maya town are also indispensable.
