Pode haver racismo na esquerda? Um estudo de caso Translated title: Can there be racism in the left-wing? A case study

Abstract

Neste artigo, busco discutir o fenômeno do antissemitismo no grande campo da esquerda no Brasil. Tomarei como caso o artigo intitulado "Os Donos do Sistema", do publicista argentino Manuel Freytas, reproduzido em diversos blogs e sítios eletrônicos identificados com a esquerda. Por meio deste caso busco sugerir que o antissemitismo de Freytas não é "novo" e que o fato de ele aparecer "na" esquerda não deve significar que seja um fenômeno "da" esquerda.

Translated abstract

This paper discusses the phenomenon of anti-Semitism in the Brazilian left wing politic field. It studies the article entitled "The owners of the system" (Os Donos do Sistema), by Manuel Freytas, published in blogs and sites identified with the left as a case of anti-Semitism. By studying this case it's suggested that anti-Semitism of Freytas is not "new" and the fact that it appears "on" the left should not mean that it is a phenomenon "of" left.
