Abstract

Este trabajo constituye un avance del Proyecto Nº 1408 del CIUNSa., cuyo objetivo fundamental es relevar y explorar la dramaturgia de Salta desde sus orígenes hasta nuestros días, investigación que se entronca con otras anteriores sobre la historia del teatro salteño pero que, en este caso, se realiza desde la perspectiva del comparatismo. Nuestro estudio se centrará en el texto dramático inédito de Francisco Feliciano Mateo, Esteco, escrito en 1976, y en los cauces discursivos que adopta la memoria cultural de la región, puesto que la leyenda de Esteco también ha sido tratada desde el punto de vista de la narrativa: La mujer de piedra (1974), de Fernando Figueroa. Un estudio contrastivo permite evaluar las coincidencias y divergencias que se producen entre ambos discursos, así como sus relaciones con el histórico y con la tradición oral. Por último, se realiza una breve reflexión sobre los valores intrínsecos de Esteco en cuanto obra dramática y sobre su relevancia para hacer una lectura ideológica del imaginario en su contexto de producción.

This work constitutes an advance of CIUNSa's Project No 1408, whose fundamental object is to reveal and to explore the dramatic art of Salta since its origin up till nowadays, investigation that is descended from the same stock with others before about the history of the salteño theater although, in this case, it's made from the perspective of comparatism. Our study will deal in the dramatic unpublished text of Francisco Feliciano Mateo, Esteco, written in 1976, and in the discursive ways that the cultural memory of the region adopts, so that Esteco' s legend also has been treated since narrative's point of view: La mujer de piedra (1974), by Fernando Figueroa. A contrastive study allows to evaluate the coincidences and divergences that are produced between both discourses, as its relations with the history and with its oral tradition. Finally, we realize a brief reflection about Esteco's intrinsic values as dramatic text and its relevance to make an ideological reading of sociocultural imaginary in the context of reception.
