          Abstract

          Die aktuellen Mindestmengen (Pankreas, Ösophagus) haben zur Zeit selten Auswirkungen auf die Weiterbildung zum Facharzt für Viszeralchirurgie. Umverteilungseffekte auf Patienten- und Krankenhausebene bewirken eine Abnahme der Krankenhäuser, die diese Eingriffe durchführen. Die Anzahl der Weiterbildungsplätze sinkt. Die Ausbildung an nur einer Institution wird in Zukunft nicht mehr möglich sein. Eine professionelle Neuorientierung sowie eine Bedarfsanalyse sind notwendig. Das gültige Säulenmodell mit den definierten Operationskatalogen ist nicht geeignet zur Weiterbildung unter Mindestmengenvereinbarung. Benötigt werden besser trainierte allgemeine Viszeralchirurgen und wenige, aber qualifiziertere spezielle Viszeralchirurgen.
